Eleven Women and a Man presents the work of twelve dynamic artists - eleven women and one man. These senior visual art students of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs' (UCCS) Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program are creating an exhibition that features a compelling selection of work developed during their undergraduate studies. Audiences can expect an energetic array of subject matter and media including photography, digital media, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media and more.
Continuing the annual tradition, this is the eighth influential senior art exhibition on display at GOCA 1420 at UCCS. These artists are participating in the evolution of contemporary art in Colorado Springs. They have developed conversant art practices through UCCS Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) interdisciplinary curriculum. Nurtured by a program that stimulates experimentation and collaboration, these artists will invigorate audiences with an exhibition that pushes the limits of a traditional gallery experience.
