Creating Broadway Musicals

April 28, 2019 | 2:30 PM

Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater

Join us in our second year of celebrating the Broadway stage, in conjunction with Theatreworks' production of Little Shop of Horrors. Bonita J. Hamilton, a 15-year veteran of Broadway's The Lion King, will share her experiences working on the big stage. Broadway actress and writer Laiona Michelle will discuss her hit solo show about Nina Simone, and her new musical about Nelson Mandela. Actress and director Kim Fields ("Tootie" from The Facts of Life) will talk about her experiences directing on the New York stage.

Prologue is a free lecture series sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor; the Department of Visual and Performing Arts; the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences; and Theatreworks.
